1971 Topps
Baseball Card Team Sets
I am currently building 1971 Topps team
sets by hand, instead of breaking down a complete set by hand. As team
sets are finished, they will be listed on this page (at the bottom) with
prices and pictures of each team set available. These are very
beautiful mid-grade team sets and I'm sure you as a collector will be very happy to
have these in your collection!

Before ordering, please review this page so you are aware of a
few items regarding the team sets.

Team Set Card Condition
The 1971 Topps Team sets will average EX//EX+ condition. I could
grade this a bit higher as some of the cards have really nice borders with
very little of the "white" showing. However, I know that collectors
are very particular when it comes to the 1971 Topps cards. These are
very nice mid-grade team sets and can be an excellent condition to the
collector who wants or needs the 1971 Topps team set without busting their
budget for a true NM team set.
The team sets included cards from all series, so they do
include the High number cards. The question I often get on Playoff
cards is what team set do they go in since there are 2 teams involved.
What I do is I take the card and put it in the team set of the team that
won the particular game the card mentions. Here is the listing of
what Playoff cards will go into what team sets:
1971 Topps Playoff / World
Series Subset Cards.
AL Playoffs (195-198) All are in the Orioles Team set as
they won all 3 games
NL Playoffs (199-202) All are in the Reds team set as they won all 3
games.
World Series (327-329, 331,332) These go in the Orioles team set as they
won games 1,2,3 & 5
World Series (330) This card goes in the Reds team set as they won game 4
In the team lists below, you can click on the team you
are interested in to see the cards that are in the team set and a good
idea of the condition of the cards you are getting. If you want to
see cards in a closer view, I can accommodate your request. Just
let me know and I will get pictures in a closer view and place them on my
preview pictures page. Remember, you are the one
purchasing the cards and I want you to be happy with your purchase from
me. What you see is what you get.
Cards that are not included with
the Team Sets
There are two types of subset cards from the 1971
Topps Set that are not included in the team sets. These cards are
listed below.

League Leader Cards (#61 - 72)
These cards feature the NL and AL League Leaders
for the most popular statistics (hitting and pitching). Since each
Leader card features 3 players from 2 or 3 different teams, they will not be
included in the team sets.
Rookie Stars (#529,
559, 633, 664, 692, 709, 728, 747)
Each team has their own card devoted to their Rookie Stars. The 8
cards listed as NL or AL Rookie Stars list players from different
teams, hence they are not included in any team set.
Also, none of the standard checklists for the set are included
either.
All 1971 Topps team sets are sent in a 35 count
plastic case as seen below.

The following team sets are currently available for
1971 Topps Baseball and their price.

Note: The cards in the pictures are the actual
cards you will get. Some cards from the larger team sets may show
shadows across the face of the card (those shown on the far right).
This is shadowing from the lighting in the picture and not from the card
itself. Again if you would like to see close up pictures of any
card, please ask before ordering. Thanks!
